Last week we talked about “immortality.” Today, we go one step further: What does ChatGPT say when analyzing the world’s oldest people and their longevity factors? Interestingly: Longevity does not begin in the fridge, in the gym, or solely in genetics.

It begins in you. In your inner stance. In your connection to yourself. In your daily stress level. In your authenticity. The closer you are to your true self, the less “wear and tear” your system goes through. Because the effect of thinking positively and being honest with yourself also influences your nervous system in a beneficial way. But let’s take it step by step.

In the analysis of the “Blue Zone regions” — for example Okinawa, Ikaria and Sardinia, where people often live beyond 100 — these seniors have something in common: they live close to something. Namely…

  • close to themselves
  • close to real relationships
  • close to purpose
  • close to the moment

Nutrition, movement & the rest play a role, of course. But the hidden main factor is the inner harmony of these people.

Statements like:

“I’ll keep pushing through, even if it makes me sick.”

“My values don’t matter. As long as the money is right.”

“I stay because I have to.”

“I always do what others expect from me.”

…these make you sick. This constant inner resistance, this tension against yourself — that’s what hurts you. Inner resistance is what we today like to call chronic stress. And chronic stress is to the body what gasoline is to a flame.

Let’s imagine something maybe a little wild: If today no one expected anything from you — how would a day of your real life look? Free from obligation, dependency or the will of others. Who would you talk to? Where would your body be? What would you stop doing… today? And what would you finally start doing… today?

Because if you were truly living YOUR life every day — rather than the expectations of others — your system would likely relax to its core. That would be healing. Rejuvenation. Life force. So listen and feel inside. People who become old don’t live longer because they always eat perfectly but because they live more for themselves.

It is not life that wears us down — it is the life that is not our own. Maybe that’s what this is about: becoming alive again. Here. Today. In conversation with your own heart. And for that, you must listen… and feel what your heart is telling you. In my opinion, that’s exactly why you are here. To discover what your thing truly is — and to gradually do more of it. Because you are needed. You matter. For what you were made for and not for what the world or your environment shaped you into, or what you adapted yourself into just to fit.

Be more yourself. In small steps. And if you integrate those small steps quite literally into your daily life, you might even live longer. 8,000–10,000 steps per day is the secret and you don’t need a gym for that. Just take the stairs instead of the elevator. Stand up instead of sitting continuously. Stretch and move your body. Take every bit of movement you can get. Claim your true shine back.

I believe in you.
